Robert Bosch GmbH has its origins in the year 1886 – the history of Rexroth goes back to the year 1795.
 
The former individual brands Bosch Automation, Brueninghaus Hydromatik, Indramat, Lohmann + Stolterfoht, Mecman, Rexroth Hydraulics and Star were transfered to the Rexroth brand - with all their qualities and specific features.
 
In 2001, Bosch Automationstechnik and Mannesmann Rexroth AG were merged to form Bosch Rexroth AG.
 
Rexroth now stands for all the technologies, products and services of the company, for industry know-how, innovative force and the skill of its employees.
